theme is selected (collectively) artists are paired. one creates, one responds both reflect the theme and follow their own self inquiry exhibited in an intimate and unexpected location
The theme e.g. 'What is... Theme?' is collectively decided.
Artists are not provided with a brief; rather, they are provided with the theme and provided with an opportunity to create work in response to someone working in a different discipline (potential examples: singer and dancer, musician and sign writer, writer and interior designer and the artist and the audience) resulting in absolute creative freedom albeit within some parameters. The venue is integral to the event, and intimate and unexpected place that the collective 'breath new life into', such as an old shop, heritage space, office, somewhere with a view, a forgotten but amazing space no longer in use, spaces that are unexpected.
Some of our 'what is? collective' creators...including but not limited to: writers, dancers, painters, SCIENTISTS, musicians, actors, specialists, experts, fun lovers, foodies, singers, historians...
